Terms & Conditions
Effective August 7, 2026
1. SMS messaging terms
Program description. This messaging program sends appointment confirmation and reminder messages to customers who have booked an appointment with GoodBookkeeping.com through our website, or via our scheduling forms, and have explicitly opted in to receive SMS notifications. Opt-in is collected via web forms with a dedicated checkbox for SMS consent. Messages include scheduling confirmations, appointment reminders, rescheduling updates, and customer support communications.
- Cancellation: you can cancel the SMS service at any time by texting "STOP" to the number that sent you messages. We will confirm your unsubscribe by SMS, after which you will receive no further messages. To rejoin, sign up as you did initially.
- Support: reply “HELP” for assistance, or contact admin@goodbookkeeping.com during business hours.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Message and data rates may apply, in both directions. Message frequency varies with your service usage and appointment schedule. For questions about your plan, contact your wireless provider.
- Our SMS program works with all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most regional carriers.
- You must be 18 years or older to participate in our SMS program.
We comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA guidelines, regarding the use of SMS communications. For privacy matters see our Privacy Policy.
2. The services we provide
We provide bookkeeping and financial record-keeping services. Subject to the scope agreed in your engagement letter, this typically includes monthly bookkeeping and bank reconciliation, transaction categorization and receipt management, QuickBooks setup and maintenance, management reporting, a client portal, a monthly review call, and year-end tax-ready financials.
The precise scope of any engagement is set out in that engagement letter. Services described on this site are indicative of what we offer, not a commitment that every service applies to every client.
3. What we are not — no accounting, tax or legal advice
GoodBookkeeping.com is not a CPA firm. We do not perform audits, reviews or compilations, and we do not prepare or file tax returns.
Nothing on this website, and nothing produced in the course of a bookkeeping engagement, constitutes accounting, tax, investment or legal advice. Our work is the accurate recording and reporting of financial information. Decisions about tax positions, filings, financing, or legal structure should be taken with a qualified professional engaged for that purpose. We are happy to work alongside your CPA or tax preparer and to provide them with the records they need.
4. Your responsibilities
Bookkeeping is only as accurate as the information it is built from. You agree to:
- Provide complete, accurate records, statements and supporting documents
- Provide them in reasonable time, so that monthly work can be completed on schedule
- Give and maintain the access we need to the relevant accounts and systems
- Tell us promptly about anything that changes the scope — new accounts, new entities, a change in transaction volume, a change in how the business operates
- Review the reports we produce and tell us about anything that looks wrong
We are not responsible for errors, delays or consequences arising from incomplete, inaccurate or late information, or from access we were not given. You remain responsible for your own regulatory and tax obligations and their deadlines.
5. Estimates, fees and billing
Estimates are not quotes
The calculator on our pricing page produces an estimate based on the transaction volumes you enter. It is not a binding quote and it is not an offer. Final pricing follows a scope review, in which we confirm actual transaction volume, account complexity, integrations and reporting needs. Your price is agreed in writing before work begins.
Cleanup of historic books is quoted separately from ongoing monthly work.
Fees
- Ongoing services are billed monthly in advance unless your engagement letter says otherwise.
- Fees are agreed in writing before work begins and do not change without agreement.
- If the scope of work changes materially — volume, entities, systems — we will discuss a revised fee before doing the additional work.
- Invoices are payable on the terms stated on the invoice. We may pause work on materially overdue accounts after giving notice.
6. Cancellation
Either of us may end an ongoing engagement by giving written notice as set out in your engagement letter. In the absence of a stated notice period, 30 days' written notice applies.
- Fees for work already performed, and for the notice period, remain payable.
- Prepaid fees for services not yet delivered are refunded on a pro-rata basis.
- On request within a reasonable period after termination, we will provide your financial records in a standard exportable format. Your records are yours.
- Appointments booked through this site can be cancelled or rescheduled using the link in your confirmation, or by emailing us.
7. Confidentiality
We treat your financial information as confidential. We do not sell it. We disclose it only to deliver your engagement — for example to the platforms named in our Privacy Policy — to people you direct us to share it with, such as your CPA, or where the law requires it.
8. Intellectual property
This site and its materials are the property of GoodBookkeeping.com or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You may view the site and print or download individual pages for your own non-commercial use, keeping all proprietary notices intact.
You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, translate, sell, create derivative works from, or distribute any material from this site without our written permission.
Your own financial records and the reports we produce for you from them are yours. Our templates, systems, checklists and working methods remain ours.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site and its content are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising out of or relating to the services or this site.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to an engagement is limited to the fees you paid us for the services giving rise to the claim in the twelve months preceding the event.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and are not an endorsement. We are not responsible for third-party content, products or services.
10. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to our services, are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Tennessee have jurisdiction, and both parties submit to that jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available here with its effective date, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms. Changes to an active engagement's scope or fees are handled through that engagement, not through this page.
